Endoscopes

Endoscopes

It is a method through which the doctor can look inside the uterus directly through the cervix after introducing a certain liquid or gas into the uterine cavity to open it.

Uses of hysteroscope:

1- Removal of adhesions using hysteroscopy

They are adhesions between the walls of the uterus, accompanied by irregular menstruation, and infertility or miscarriage may occur

These adhesions form as a result of uterine inflammation or uterine surgery such as myomectomy. These intrauterine adhesions are diagnosed and removed by hysteroscopy.

2-Removal of endometriosis or submucosal fibroids

3- Laparoscopic repair of congenital uterine anomalies

The presence of a uterine septum may be a cause of miscarriage and can be surgically repaired by hysteroscopy.

4- Hysteroscopy to determine the location of the IUD or remove it

This is very rare, but it is possible for a part of the IUD to remain inside the uterus during its removal, and this part can be removed through a hysteroscope. The IUD can also be removed from its abnormal position.

5- Hysteroscopy to remove the uterine lining

In some cases of uterine bleeding, the doctor may remove the lining of the uterus to stop the bleeding. In most cases, menopause occurs, and if menstruation does not come very lightly, it is a very good solution, as most cases fear hysterectomy.

After hysteroscopy, you may feel mild abdominal pain and minimal vaginal spotting

Dr. Muhammad determines the type of cyst that varies from a functional cyst only, a chocolate cyst, a dermoid cyst, or even a cancerous cyst.

The treatment plan is determined according to basic ultrasound and advanced imaging, and the best way to remove these ovarian cysts is determined.

Either via:

Suctioning the cyst without any surgical intervention and in a short time (only 10 minutes).

Or surgical intervention by laparoscopic cystectomy if the cyst affects ovarian function or may lead to damage to the ovarian reserve.

But if there is a huge cyst or a cancerous cyst, it requires open surgical intervention

Dr. Muhammad is considered one of the most famous doctors in the Arab world in treating uterine fibroids. He has performed many rare cases and restored the dream of motherhood to women who had previously been told that they needed a hysterectomy, which made the Arab media personality nickname Dr. Muhammad (the fibroid hunter).

Advantages of laparoscopic removal of fibroids (myomectomy):

-Less pain and smaller wounds than open surgery

-Shorter recovery period, and return to normal life faster

– Fewer adhesions than open surgery

Laparoscopic or endoscopic myomectomy is performed for small or medium-sized fibroids, while large or multiple fibroids are removed by open surgery
